El Mirage

First day of Coachella is officially over for me! No regrets, such a great place to be. Sadly for me, I don't do drunk/drink and other such stuff so the festival itself is not as enjoyable for me. The part I love is just the vibe and the community, fashion forward, free, and fun. I just love it. Let's me explore the inner free spirit in myself. The result? Outfits like these!

This outfit kinda reminds me of walking dead haha, which soon I'll be doing an outfit series for with Yoshi! I'll go more into detail about it later. Love you all!

If you're a bird, I'm a bird

Photos by: Nick Sutjongdro                           Shirt by: Rhythm Livin                             Sweater by: Hollister                                 Shorts by: H&M                                 Shoes by: Aldo

If you're a bird...I'm a bird...NOT. Who'd wanna be a bird, I'd hate to just eat nuts and worms. Don't get me wrong, flying is cool and all but I like being a human.

Movin onto more important things, Brand Pigeonholing. Many people refuse to wear clothes made by a certain brand they don't like because of a negative connotation that it may or may not have.Which is terribly sad, why limit yourself?

So what IS brand pigeonholing you ask? Well glad you asked.

Bran Pigeonholing

/brandˈpijən ˈhōliNG/

Verb.
To create a preconceived idea about a brand and all their piece.

Synonyms

Verb.
Brand Stereotyping

Common failings of Brand pigeonholing schemes include:
  • Buying expensive brands only (in some cases, this makes sense, but not always, it is good to know your brands as well, just keep an open mind)
  • Not wearing pieces that may complement your figure simply because the piece is of a brand you dislike (If you can find an H&M piece that fits just as nicely as a zara fit, why not?)
  • Brands may change over time, so they no longer fit the category in which they have been placed (F21 may decide to step up their game)
So what is the point of all this? Many people will choose not to wear this sweater simply because it's Hollister. And true, Hollister may have a terrible connotation from the past, but who cares. If you like it, wear it, if it makes you confident, wear it! Plus, this sweater was super soft and half the price and double the quality American Apparel makes.

Wild Wild West

Photos by: Bethany Struble                                    Backpack by: Coach

It's obvious that this coach backpack is my favorite one...or my only one for that matter. I need more backpacks, too bad I'm broke. Oh well, speaking of broke, I went on a mountain trip recently. And I don't know if you know this about me, but I love nature! Nature hikes, nature walks, nature centers, natural girls, you name it! So here are some of the OOTD pictures from the western town that we visited before heading to a nature walk. It's not as fashion forward or extremely exciting as other outfits, but hey, sometimes, a guy's just gotta be comfortable, yadadamean? ;]

Outfit:
-Tan Suede Button up
-Beige Pants
-White wifebeater/tanktop
-Beige seude shoes
-Leather backpack

Livin' Easy Livin' Free

So if you haven't noticed, I am in love with motorcycles! In fact I have two, this is my new one, I named her Carol. This bike is going to be fully customized, it is already customized but not fully done just yet. Not by a long shot. So I figured what better way to show this bike off than with a custom pair of 501s. Not only is the bike custom, like the pants, it is also a classic bike. This beauty is a 1974 Honda cb750, classic but custom, just like my pants. Because when I think classic, Levi's always pops up in my mind, as I'm sure it does in all of your minds.
So I decided to pair the two up, I hope you all enjoy! Tell me what you think in the comments below.

At the Getty

I have so many posts to post it's not even funny. Well, I guess it could be funny if my life was a sitcom. Sadly my life is not a sitcom, but it may be one day....This outfit was taken sometime back in December when it was much colder at the Getty. Bethany took me to the Getty as one of the presents for the "12 days of Christmas". She told me wear something casual and warm, so here it is, basic basic basic.
