At Coachella, Coachella

We're back! and by we, I mean me, and Bethany, but really just me, because she doesn't really blog here...but she is back, I mean we, Bethany and I, from coachella that is. Oh geez, my old english teacher probably would have had a seizure if he tried to read that past sentence, or anything on my blog for that matter.

ANYWAYS, coachella! Yes, a festival of music in the desert!..Really just an excuse to wear minimal amounts of clothing and do drugs, but you didn't hear it from me :P BUT fear not readers, I did not partake in this "wearing of minimal clothes" or ritual of "pumping chemicals", the music however was extremely enjoyable. On Saturday morning, bright and early, we hopped in a car with Stylesmith & Mr. Cuit and trekked across the desert. Above are the quick shots we took at the various events that went on in the area during the festival.

First Set of pictures were from the KROQ house that Bethany was invited to, so as the leech that I am, I tagged along! At the event, we were graciously gifted a couple of items from the brands there (F21, Doc Marten's, etc.)

The second set of pictures were from the lacoste party that I did not get into. Waited in line for like 9000 hours, but did not get into. Bethany did however, and was kind enough to let me use the pictures, so there they are! And of course, we stopped by the street to snap a couple of pictures. Ahh yes, fashion bloggers in all our vainglorious ways. Leave a comment! Or not, but I'll find you >_>

Denim and leather, go together like a horse and...feather?...Idk man I tried. But really though, the quickest way to show that you're a wannabe gangster, Denim & Leather.

April showers bring May flowers

I love prints, all kinds of prints, whether it be anchors, sailboats, aztec, and of course, even floral. Now, a lot of guys have a problem when it comes to wearing floral print shirts.

"It implies femininity"

"It looks gay"

"I look like a 45 year old hawaiian dude, which I'm not"

I've heard it all bro. Wearing floral shirts, yes, will make you look slightly more feminine than the average dude, but that does not mean you will look gay... (unless if that's what you're going for, which is completely fine as well). So how should a straight man wear such a delicate piece? Well there are several different ways.

The two looks above are some examples, the first look is rather dapper/preppy, this is dangerous. There's a very fine line between dapper/preppy and feminine/dainty. So how do you prevent that mistake? Limit the floral. Put a sweater over it, wear a tie, accent it with bold dark colors, or even something that I didn't do, you could take out the tie and just leave the shirt unbuttoned. Also try to steer away from the more feminine colors, i.e. light blue jeans, brightly colored jeans in general, or a pink sweater. The second look is how I would normally wear a floral shirt, pair it with something masculine, such as a denim jacket or something similar. Anyways, leave a comment on how you'd wear floral, or how you would like to see a guy wear floral.

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness

Photos by: Bethany Struble

Growing up, I've never had my own lemonade stand. When I told bethany this, she was in shock. I've always seen it in movies, but growing up in another country where lemonade stands on the street corner was something bizarre, I've never had one myself. So we got busy, made jugs of lemonade, made signs and took Kylie and Bethany's little sister down to her street corner where we sat in the sun for hours screaming at nearby cars. We eventually retired our finally empty jugs with 20$ in our pockets. We may not have made a lot of money, but the memory will last me a lifetime.
